THE BRITISH AMERICAN SOCIAL CLUB of Citrus County, FLORIDA

ARTICLE 1 - NAME
The name of this organization shall be the British American Social Club of Citrus County, Florida, an unaffiliated non profit organization
ARTICLE II - PURPOSE
The purpose of this organization shall be to promote socializing of individuals of British or British Commonwealth nationality/origin, Americans with present or past family heritage/connections or anyone interested in British culture.
ARTICLE III - MEMBERSHIP
Any interested person is eligible for membership. Approval of membership application shall be voted on at any regular scheduled meeting of the club. Members shall have the right to vote, serve on committees, speak on the floor and hold office.
ARTICLE IV - OFFICERS AND THEIR DUTIES
Club officers shall consist of a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary, who will serve for one calendar year commencing in January. Officers may be re-elected each year.
Nominations for re-election or any vacant officer position shall be tabled no later than December 1st of each year.
Elected officers shall perform their duties and responsibilities in a professional and unbiased manner to the best of the individual's ability.
ARTICLE V - DUES
Annual membership dues shall be set by the President subject to membership simple majority. Dues shall be paid no later than January 31st each calendar year.
New members joining the club after June 30th of any year will pay a pro-rated amount equal to 50% of the annual dues. There will be no other applicable discounted dues without the approval of the club officers.
ARTICLE VI - COMMITTEES
The President shall appoint such committees as the membership deems necessary.
ARTICLE VII - DISBURSEMENTS
The funds of this organization shall be deposited in a Bank or Savings & Loan Association, selected by the Treasurer and approved by the President. All disbursements shall be by check, signed by the Treasurer or President or petty cash at the discretion of the Treasurer.
